The Ghana Tourism Authority (GTA) has announced Taste 68@68, a vibrant food festival dedicated to celebrating and promoting Ghana’s rich culinary culture. The event aims to position Ghana as a top food tourism destination.

Set to take place on March 14, 2025, at the Kwame Nkrumah Memorial Park in Accra, the one-day festival will showcase 68 traditional and contemporary Ghanaian dishes, highlighting the country’s rich agricultural resources while creating opportunities for food entrepreneurs.
The Taste 68@68 festival will feature an exciting display of Ghana’s diverse culinary landscape, with food stalls offering delicacies from various regions. Attendees can look forward to cooking competitions, musical and cultural performances, and exhibitions celebrating Ghana’s rich traditions.
According to Mrs. Maame Efua Houadjeto, CEO of the Ghana Tourism Authority, “This food festival is a step in the right direction. It will be a grand and exciting opportunity to savor our local dishes while showcasing Ghanaian cuisine and culture, reinforcing Ghana’s position as the preferred cultural hub in the sub-region.”

The festival is an integral part of the Black Star Experience, a strategic initiative aimed at promoting Ghana as the gateway to Africa. This initiative seeks to highlight Ghana’s cultural heritage, traditions, and hospitality, making the country a premier destination for tourism, business, and cultural exchange.
By offering a flavorful journey through Ghana’s culinary landscape, the Taste 68@68 Food Festival will not only promote Ghanaian cuisine but also celebrate the country’s music, art, and culture—leaving visitors with a lasting appreciation for Ghana’s rich heritage.
