In a groundbreaking initiative linking West and North Africa, Globe Away has teamed up with Imane Ouaadil, Morocco’s Ambassador to Ghana, and the Regional Tourism Council of Marrakech-Safi (CRT) to launch a bold new content campaign celebrating African unity, culture, and a shared future.

The five-day cultural exchange brought two prominent Ghanaian digital creators—Wesley Kesse and Kwesi Gray—to the vibrant city of Marrakech. With over 2 million followers across Instagram and TikTok, Wesley Kesse lent his voice to the campaign’s flagship video, while Kwesi Gray amplified the message across his extensive platforms, helping to ignite pan-African engagement.
Under the creative direction of Pokespace agency and the CRT marketing team, the campaign centered around the unifying message:
“This is Africa. One beat. One spirit. One family.”
It quickly struck a chord, drawing tens of thousands of views within hours of release and sparking widespread excitement across West and Sub-Saharan Africa. Many viewers shared a new interest in exploring Marrakech firsthand.
This campaign is part of CRT Marrakech-Safi’s international content strategy, which has already featured collaborations with creators from Portugal, Italy, France, the Middle East, and the UK. Together, these initiatives have generated over 15 million global views, positioning Marrakech as a top-tier cultural and travel destination.
The Ghana-Morocco collaboration marks the first of several pan-African initiatives. Plans are underway to host five female Ghanaian influencers in Marrakech in October 2025, further building momentum ahead of Morocco’s major hosting duties for the 2025 Africa Cup of Nations (AFCON) and the 2030 FIFA World Cup. The Moroccan National Tourism Office (ONMT) continues to strengthen ties with African markets through regional roadshows, strategic partnerships, and campaigns targeting a new wave of African travelers.
As Marrakech—also known as the City of Joy—extends an invitation to all of Africa, the campaign stands as a celebration of shared roots, creative expression, and a united future for the continent.
