According to Ghanaian musician Kuami Eugene, there is no equity in the music industry as the general public believes.
He asserts that certain artists will stop at nothing to achieve their goals and realize their fantasies.
“The music industry no be how the fans dey see am. It’s a bloody game now. People will do anything, pull any string for validation. Ay3 tan!!!!!” he wrote on X.
On Saturday, June 1, when the 25th Telecel Ghana Music Awards were over, Eugene spoke.
Internet fans suspect that he may have been motivated to make the comment because of his rival Stonebwoy’s Artiste of the Year win, albeit this is not confirmed.
Eugene, meantime, took home two TGMA prizes in 2024. He was awarded Best Music Video of the Year as well as Best Highlife Artiste
On Saturday, June 1, 2024, the TGMA took place at the Grand Arena of the Accra International Conference Centre. There, musicians received awards for their accomplishments throughout the previous year.
