Prepare for an enchanting evening of musical brilliance as the Youth Orchestra takes the spotlight at the National Theatre of Ghana on Thursday, December 5, 2024.
This eagerly awaited concert will feature a dynamic blend of classical and contemporary music, promising an unforgettable experience for all in attendance.
The event is a result of a collaborative effort between the National Symphony Orchestra, a resident group of the National Theatre, and the KGL Foundation, which supports classical music training in Ghana.
The KGL Foundation, a wholly Ghanaian-owned entity with a network of specialized business units offering innovative tech-based solutions, generously sponsored the National Symphony Orchestra to deliver top-tier music education. Over eight months, this initiative provided comprehensive training to over 20 young Ghanaians aged 15–30 in orchestral instruments, music theory, and performance techniques.
Focused on empowering youth from underserved communities, the program aimed to foster a deep appreciation for classical music, offering mentorship and high-quality education under the guidance of experienced music educators from the National Symphony Orchestra.
This transformative partnership has not only equipped these young musicians with valuable skills but has also positively impacted their communities by creating opportunities for artistic growth.
Mark your calendars for the grand finale: the Youth Orchestra will perform their culmination concert on Thursday, December 5, 2024, at 6:00 PM in the Exhibition Hall of the National Theatre. Audiences can look forward to a captivating showcase of classical music, celebrating the talent and dedication of Ghana’s next generation of musicians.
