YEN.com.gh has officially launched the 2025 edition of the YEN Entertainment Awards, marking the fourth installment since its inception in 2022.
Building on the success of previous years, the YEN Entertainment Awards 2025 will once again celebrate exceptional talents across Ghana’s vibrant entertainment industry. The event will honour individuals whose creativity, dedication, and influence continue to shape Ghanaian pop culture.
The scheme recognizes outstanding personalities who have not only excelled in their craft but also captured the admiration and loyalty of the Ghanaian public. The year under review for this edition spans October 2024 to September 2025, covering notable achievements, performances, and contributions throughout the entertainment year.
Similar to the 2024 edition, this year’s awards feature a distinguished jury panel responsible for overseeing the nomination process.
The expert jury includes some of Ghana’s most respected entertainment industry figures:
- Kwame Dadzie – Renowned media personality
- Gloria Akpene (MzGee) – Entertainment journalist and TV presenter
- Yaw Boadu Ayeboafo (NYB) – Brands expert and music executive
- Tilly Akua Nipaa – Media personality
While the jury handles the shortlisting, the final winners will be determined by the public through online voting. Voting will be open for one month and is entirely free, allowing every Ghanaian to participate in celebrating their favorite entertainers.
The 2025 edition introduces three new categories, expanding the total from 12 to 15. The latest additions are:
- Sports Personality of the Year
- Social Media Star (Diaspora)
- Kumawood Actor and Actress of the Year

Speaking on the nomination process, Yaw Boadu Ayeboafo (NYB), label head at Amin Music and a member of the jury, revealed that the selection was conducted with care and precision.
“The nominees were well thought through, and this year’s edition stands the chance of being the most exciting one yet,” he shared.
NYB emphasized that the YEN Entertainment Awards provide a valuable platform to celebrate Ghanaian creatives who are redefining the entertainment landscape. He expressed optimism about the continued growth of the scheme, stating,
“I expect the celebration of Ghanaian creatives changing the narrative with their craft, and with YEN leading the charge, it is only going to get better.”
