Yango Ghana holds the second edition of the Digital Mobility Awards

Accra, April 10, 2025 — Yango Ghana, a subsidiary of the global technology leader Yango Group, proudly announced the winners of the second edition of the Yango Digital Mobility Awards (YDMA) at a grand event held at the Marriott Hotel in Accra. This annual awards ceremony recognizes the exceptional contributions of Yango partners, drivers, passengers, and key stakeholders to Ghana’s digital mobility ecosystem.

Government Endorsement

Delivering remarks on behalf of the Minister of Communication, Bishop Dr. Samuel Antwi-Gyekyi, Director of ICT, emphasized the government’s support for the growth of digital mobility platforms like Yango. He highlighted the need for collaboration between the public and private sectors to ensure regulatory compliance, innovation, and economic growth in the mobility space.

Honoring Excellence in Digital Mobility

The event brought together industry leaders, policymakers, and entrepreneurs to celebrate innovation, dedication, and progress. Yango Ghana reaffirmed its commitment to compliance, data privacy, and responsible innovation.

The highlight of the night was the announcement of Mr. Ernest Dogbe as Driver of the Year, who was awarded a brand-new Suzuki S-Presso. Other top drivers received smartphones, fuel vouchers, and service packages.

“This recognition is a reflection of both my commitment and the incredible support Yango provides. It’s a privilege to serve in this community,” Mr. Dogbe said.

Another standout winner, Mr. Immortal, CEO of Foodstuff Home, was named Partner of the Year, earning a total of three awards for his excellence in operations and driver support.
