The ninth edition of the Western Music Awards kicked off on Friday, November 8, 2025, at the Goldfields Club House in Tarkwa.
Westline Entertainment organised the launch, drawing musicians, traditional leaders, industry stakeholders, media partners, and fans to celebrate Western Region’s vibrant music scene.

Emmanuel Ampaabeng, CEO of Westline Entertainment, said the choice of Tarkwa reflects the city’s rich culture and symbolic connection to gold. He noted that just as gold defines the city, its people shine through music and creativity.
This year’s theme, “Rhythm of Success,” promotes unity, empowerment, and collaboration among creative talents in the region.
“We’re entering a new phase,” Mr. Ampaabeng said. “Beyond awards, we’re focusing on collaboration and empowerment. Tarkwa isn’t only known for gold; it’s full of creative wealth. Every young person here must realise their talent is their gold mine.”
Ebenezer Cobbinah, Municipal Chief Executive of Tarkwa-Nsuaem, praised Westline Entertainment for hosting the event in Tarkwa. He said the city takes pride in being home to both natural and creative riches.

“We’re proud to host this event,” he said. “Tarkwa’s talents continue to uplift Ghana’s music scene. The organisers deserve credit for promoting the Western Region as a centre of culture and excellence.”
He added that the Assembly will keep supporting initiatives that drive art, tourism, and youth development.
Founded in 2017, the Western Music Awards continues to celebrate and reward outstanding musical talent across the region.
As the 2025 edition approaches, excitement builds for another showcase of creativity and harmony — proving that the Western Region’s rhythm beats stronger than ever.
