Drawing inspiration from the iconic portraits of Malian photographer Seydou Keïta, the campaign pays tribute to an era where Vlisco fabrics became integral to the visual and cultural identity of the African continent. Through three distinctive collections, “Icons Last Forever” weaves a narrative of heritage, continuity, and artistic evolution.

The campaign begins with the Icons Collection, featuring some of Vlisco’s most era-defining, original prints—the very same designs worn in Keïta’s portraits. These timeless pieces have not only defined style but shaped identities and become treasured cultural symbols.

Next is the Revival Collection, presenting modern reinterpretations of these iconic patterns. This collection bridges past and present, breathing new life into classic motifs and colors while remaining faithful to Vlisco’s roots. It reflects how tradition can evolve gracefully without losing its soul.

The final chapter, the Hommage Collection, introduces new creations from the Vlisco Design Studio. These designs honour the past while embracing innovation, offering bold, fresh expressions of African fashion rooted in deep cultural appreciation.

At the heart of the campaign is Cameroonian actress and entrepreneur Muriel Blanche, whose grace and authenticity embody the spirit of “Icons Last Forever.” Her personal connection to Vlisco—passed down from her mother and matriarchs who raised her—adds emotional depth and relevance to the campaign. “Vlisco isn’t just about prints—it’s about legacy,” Muriel said. “It’s my way of honouring my roots and carrying that heritage forward.”

Adding a strong Ghanaian voice to the narrative, acclaimed fashion influencer and philanthropist Victoria Michaels also features in the campaign. Her sophisticated styling of the iconic prints merges traditional beauty with contemporary elegance, underscoring Vlisco’s mission to spotlight powerful African women across generations and borders.

The “Icons Last Forever” collections are now available at the Vlisco store in Accra Mall and online at vlisco.com.
