The UK-Ghana Chamber of Commerce (UKGCC) set the stage for an unforgettable evening on April 30, 2025, as it hosted a vibrant celebration of International Jazz Day at the African Regent Hotel in Accra — an elegant fusion of jazz, culture, and business networking.

The event brought together an eclectic mix of jazz enthusiasts, government officials, and representatives from both Ghanaian and UK companies, all united in celebrating cultural heritage and cross-border collaboration.
With support from sponsors including Audiovisual Systems, Aphro Palm Spirits, the African Regent Hotel, and Standard Chartered Bank Ghana PLC, the night was more than just a jazz soirée. Guests enjoyed live music, engaging dialogue, curated tastings, and an art showcase — all of which highlighted the richness of African creativity and the power of music to connect.

UKGCC Executive Director Adjoba Kyiamah shared the Chamber’s vision behind the event, emphasizing the role of cultural events in building strong business relationships. “This gathering reflects our mission to foster networking opportunities that go beyond boardrooms — we’re creating spaces where genuine connections can flourish,” she stated. “Through such events, we’re bringing our member companies and key stakeholders together in a relaxed and inspiring environment.”
While the UKGCC continues to host sector-specific forums and business meetings, events like the Jazz and Heritage Night form a vital part of its relationship-building strategy. Ms. Kyiamah noted that while the first quarter of 2025 posed challenges for some member businesses, the Chamber remains optimistic about the rest of the year.

She encouraged non-member companies to explore the benefits of joining the UKGCC, highlighting its ability to help members tap into valuable networks and collective expertise for business growth.
A parallel art exhibition added further dimension to the evening, inviting attendees to immerse themselves in visual storytelling that echoed the themes of heritage, identity, and connection — the very essence of the Pan-African spirit celebrated through jazz.
Ultimately, the 2025 UKGCC Jazz and Heritage event went beyond networking. It served as a cultural experience — a soulful reminder that trade and diplomacy are most impactful when they resonate with shared values, stories, and rhythms that bridge continents.
