The popular Netflix series “Anikulapo” is starring Fella Makafui in season two

Ghanaian actress Fella Makafui has been cast in a leading role for the second season of the popular Nigerian Netflix series Anikulapo.

There are rumors that the series will be accessible on Netflix in more than 191 nations.
Recall that in June, Nigerian producer/director Kunle Afolayan made the announcement that Season 2 of the critically acclaimed television series would be shot in Ghana.

In this context, Fella’s role was announced along with an image of the actress performing by Juliet Asante, Chief Executive Officer of the National Film Authority (NFA).
She said that this project is a component of Ghana’s objective to work with other African nations in order to provide opportunities for Ghanaian talent on the international scene.
With Netflix’s approval, the series, which was directed by the well-known Kunle Afolayan, promotes Ghana as a developing location for film production in line with the NFA’s #ShootInGhana initiative.

Asante conveyed her appreciation for Kunle Afolayan’s willingness to work with her on this project as well as the support provided by the Ministry of Tourism, the Ghana Tourism Authority, and the Ghana Museums & Monuments Board.

She gave Fella Makafui acclaim for her diligence and devotion, especially for her resolve to master Yoruba in order to perform her job.
Fella celebrated this milestone on her Instagram, stating that she will represent the character Abena in Anikulapo, a show that explores life in pre-colonial periods.
Her film business colleagues congratulated her profusely in the post’s comment section, considering this a huge victory for Ghana.
