Stonebwoy has once again cemented his dominance in the music scene, winning the Reggae/Dancehall Artiste of the Year at this year’s Telecel Ghana Music Awards (TGMA)—his tenth time claiming the coveted title.

But the BET award-winning star shows no signs of slowing down. On Tuesday, September 9, he lit up the Afro-Dancehall space with the release of his brand-new nine-track album, The Torcher.
The project kicks off with an explosive Intro delivered by his official hype man, Ogee The MC, who sets the tone with his silky voice and creative energy.
The album features standout tracks such as The Torcher, Send Dem A Prayer, GidiGidi (Fire), Samankudi, Outside Lifestyle, Susuka (featuring Beeztrap & Yaw Tog), Xosetor (featuring Agbeshie & Kenny Ice), and Deeper.
The title track, The Torcher, comes alive with Stonebwoy’s commanding vocals, layered over thumping drum patterns, infectious Dancehall riddims, and a pulsating bassline that instantly elevates the energy.

On Deeper, Stonebwoy dives into raw emotion, delivering soulful melodies that highlight his impressive vocal range. Switching seamlessly between his signature Dancehall style and a melodic, spiritual tone, he proves his versatility as an artist.
Xosetor, featuring Agbeshie and Kenny Ice, has already become a fan favourite, thanks to its catchy Ewe flavour and chants.
Speaking on the album, Stonebwoy explained:
“Beyond the sound, The Torcher carries a deeper message. It’s about empowerment—urging fans to carry their flame and never let life’s challenges dim their light.”
This marks Stonebwoy’s third album in three years, following 5th Dimension (2023) and Up and Runnin (2024).
Since breaking onto the scene in 2012, Livingstone Etse Satekla—popularly known as Stonebwoy—has carved out a unique legacy in African music.
