Sam George Partners with TikTok to Strengthen Ghana’s Creative Industry

Minister for Communication, Digital Technology and Innovations, Samuel Nartey George, has reaffirmed his ministry’s commitment to fostering a supportive environment for Ghana’s creative industry through strategic partnerships with major global tech platforms.

In a Facebook post on Wednesday, October 15, Sam George highlighted that this initiative forms part of the government’s broader vision to leverage digital tools for national development and empower local creators to succeed in the digital economy.

He revealed that the ministry recently held a productive engagement with representatives from TikTok, focusing on strategies to support Ghanaian creatives and boost their digital productivity through innovation and collaboration.

“Yesterday was a very successful day in my service as Minister for Communication, Digital Technology and Innovations. We fulfilled our promise to create an enabling environment for creatives in Ghana by partnering with major tech platforms,” he shared.

“Our meeting with TikTok marks a key step in empowering our creative community and equipping them with the tools needed for greater productivity.”

Sam George expressed appreciation to TikTok, the Ghana Digital Centre Ltd, and the New Media Association of Ghana for their collaboration in driving Ghana’s digital innovation and creative growth agenda.

He further emphasized that partnerships between the government and digital platforms are vital to building a modern, inclusive economy anchored on creativity, innovation, and technology.
