RwandAir, one of Africa’s premier airlines, has partnered with the organisers of Accra Weizo to advance travel and tourism across the continent.
Accra Weizo, the West African Travel Expo initiated in 2015 by Akwaaba African Travel Market, is dedicated to promoting seamless travel within the West African subregion. The 8th edition of the event is set to take place on June 27, 2025, in Ghana, in collaboration with the Ghana Tourism Authority (GTA) and the Ghana Tourism Development Corporation (GTDC).

Organisers have announced that tour operators from across West Africa will gather for the Tour Operators Forum, a key highlight of the event.
RwandAir has maintained a strong presence in Accra since July 2013, operating three weekly flights—on Mondays, Wednesdays, and Fridays—using a Boeing 737. This Accra-Kigali route serves as a strategic link, connecting Ghana to RwandAir’s vast network across Africa, Europe, the Middle East, Asia, and beyond. The airline’s partnership with Qatar Airways further extends its global footprint, offering travellers even more seamless connectivity.
Within Ghana, RwandAir has also joined forces with Africa World Airlines to enhance regional air travel across West Africa, demonstrating its commitment to making travel more accessible and convenient.
Adding to the prestige of this year’s Accra Weizo is the involvement of the Royal Senchi Hotel & Resort. Partnering with Akwaaba African Travel Market, the Royal Senchi—renowned as one of West Africa’s finest luxury resorts—will help host the 8th edition of the travel conference. Nestled along the peaceful Volta River in Akosombo, the hotel is celebrated for its blend of nature, traditional architecture, and contemporary hospitality. Its participation underscores a shared commitment to regional tourism growth and delivering exceptional experiences to all attendees of the landmark travel fair.
