George Quaye and Arnold Asamoah-Baidoo will take to the stage once again in the popular play Run For Your Wife on Sunday, September 28, 2025, at the National Theatre, Accra.

The production, part of this year’s Ghana Theatre Festival, will be staged at 4:00 p.m. and 8:00 p.m., giving theatre lovers two chances to enjoy a night of humour and suspense. Directed by Quaye, the play marks a much-anticipated reunion between the award-winning producer-actor and the outspoken media personality.
Quaye, a household name in theatre and television, will star as Adjei Sowah, a taxi driver entangled in a chaotic double life with two unsuspecting wives. Baidoo, known for his sharp wit and commanding stage presence, will join him alongside Naa Ashorkor and Andrew Tandoh-Adote.
Originally written by British playwright Ray Cooney, Run For Your Wife remains a global favourite, celebrated for its outrageous comedy, quick-paced dialogue, and unexpected twists. The Ghanaian adaptation not only breathes new life into the classic but also demonstrates the vibrancy of Ghana’s growing theatre scene and the chemistry between Quaye and Baidoo.
As one of the festival’s headline acts, the play is expected to draw large audiences. Organisers are urging patrons to book tickets early to avoid disappointment, as the show will only run for a single day.
The production enjoys support from Nii Plants Car Rentals, Joy FM, Joy Prime TV, Hitz FM, and Bill Micro Credit.
