R2Bees set to headline the 8th edition of the Shutdown All White Invasion Concert in Minneapolis

Ghanaian music duo R2Bees will headline the highly anticipated 8th edition of the Shutdown All White Invasion Concert, set for August 15, 2025, in Minneapolis.

The event will take place at The Cabooze in downtown Minneapolis, with doors opening at 5:00 PM. The main show runs from 6:00 PM to 11:00 PM, followed by an after-party at The Bazemnt.

Made up of Faisal Hakeem (Omar Sterling) and Rashid Mugeez, R2Bees are globally celebrated for their signature fusion of Afrobeats, hip-hop, and R&B. Fans can look forward to electrifying performances of hits like “Slow Down,” “Kiss Your Hand,” “Tonight,” and “Life.”

Organized by Julian Asiedu, popularly known as Jagonzy, and the Shutdown Boys, the Shutdown All White Invasion has become a major cultural fixture in the Twin Cities. It’s more than a concert—it’s a celebration of African heritage, blending fashion, live music, and cultural exhibitions to promote unity and cross-cultural appreciation in Minnesota.

This year’s show also highlights a stellar lineup of emerging and local acts including Foreignward, Rudeboy Solo, Nilo Boy, H Hardy, YOQB, Dat Boi Tropical, No. Bodyu, P Willz, Koo Wiase, Zennah, and YQ Solo.

The night will feature top DJs such as DJ Lyriks, DJ Eazy E, DJ Elmara, DJ Kuda, DJ Game, DJ Soundtainer, DJ MKZ x DJ D-Waynne, DJ Famous, DJ Oceeking, Hidden DJ, DJ Boziah, and more.

Hosting duties will be handled by KMJ The Royal Host and Ghanaian Rozay, aka the Mouth of the South, promising a high-energy, crowd-engaging experience.
