Otumfuo Osei Tutu II, the Asantehene, has expressed keen interest in attending Sarkodie’s highly anticipated Rapperholic Concert, scheduled for September 2025 in Kumasi.

During a courtesy visit on Friday, July 18, 2025, Sarkodie and his management team paid a visit to the Manhyia Palace to inform the King about the upcoming concert and to seek his blessings. The Asantehene warmly received them and stated his desire to be present at the event.
“They don’t allow me to go out often,” he remarked, “but this one, I would like to attend and watch for myself.” His words reflected a genuine enthusiasm for the event.

Sarkodie, known in private life as Michael Owusu Addo, was joined by his manager Angel Town and Event Factory’s Nabil Alhassan. The team shared detailed plans for the concert and expressed appreciation for the opportunity to engage with the royal household.
Otumfuo offered words of encouragement, advising Sarkodie and his team to stay humble and focused as they continue to grow. He also affirmed his support, stating his willingness to be present at the show.
The Rapperholic Concert, traditionally held in December in Accra, stands as one of Ghana’s top music events. Bringing the show back to Kumasi for a second time highlights Sarkodie’s commitment to engaging fans across regions.
With thousands of music lovers and industry players expected to attend, the 2025 edition promises to be a major cultural and entertainment highlight for the Ashanti Region.
