Ghana’s comedy sensation, OB Amponsah, emerged as the biggest winner at the 2025 Ghana Comedy Awards, reinforcing his status as one of the country’s most influential comedic figures.

The acclaimed stand-up comedian took home the prestigious Stand-up Comedian of the Year award—one of the night’s most coveted individual honors.
Adding to his personal achievement, OB’s milestone event, OB Amponsah Live at the Bukom Arena, which celebrated his 10-year journey in comedy, was named Comedy Special of the Year. The show earned widespread praise from both fans and critics for its originality, emotional depth, and masterful humor.
OB’s comedic influence reaches beyond the stage. THE WMT SHOW—a popular radio program he co-hosts on 3FM 92.7 with fellow comedian Lekzy Decomic and a talented team—won Radio Comedy Show of the Year, showcasing OB’s versatility and widespread impact within Ghana’s entertainment industry.
