The National Theatre of Ghana, in partnership with a team of German theatre experts, is conducting an intensive technical training workshop for its production and technical staff.

Running from October 23 to November 9, 2025, the workshop forms part of a broader collaboration between the National Theatre and the visiting German Theatre Group, initiated earlier in October.
The programme aims to strengthen international cooperation while enhancing technical capacity within Ghana’s performing arts industry. It focuses on advancing participants’ skills in stage design, lighting, sound engineering, set construction, and production management.
Through a blend of theoretical instruction and practical sessions, participants are being introduced to modern European theatre technologies and sustainable stage management practices.

This initiative represents a significant milestone in advancing technical theatre production in Ghana, enabling participants to explore innovative ideas and elevate their craft to meet international standards.
Beyond skill-building, the training promotes cross-cultural exchange and creativity, fostering collaboration between Ghanaian and German professionals in stagecraft and production design.
By prioritizing technical development and global partnerships, the National Theatre of Ghana continues to demonstrate its commitment to elevating the performing arts — not only through powerful on-stage performances but also through world-class technical mastery behind the scenes.
