Nasty C has listed Black Sherif, Kwesi Arthur and Vic Mensa as his top three Ghanaian rappers

South African rapper Nasty C has revealed his top Ghanaian artists, placing Black Sherif at the top of his list.

He also highlighted Kwesi Arthur, U.S.-based Ghanaian rapper Vic Mensa, and Shatta Wale as favourites, maintaining them in that order.

Nasty C shared his picks during an interview on Joy Prime’s Changes with Roselyn Felli, where he was asked to mention his top three Ghanaian rappers.

“At the moment, I’ll put Black Sherif at number one. There’s something about his music that connects with me. I’ll place Kwesi Arthur at number two, and at number three, I’ll go with Vic Mensa — between him and Wale,” he said.

When asked why Sarkodie didn’t make the list, Nasty C clarified that although Sarkodie is among his top five Ghanaian rappers, he doesn’t make his top three “at the moment.”

“He’s definitely in my top five but not top three right now,” he explained.

Nasty C also addressed the 2022 tension between him and Sarkodie, explaining that the situation stemmed from a misunderstanding. He expressed his openness to resolving the issue.

“A lot got lost in translation. I’m not sure if he misunderstood it or someone relayed the wrong message, but his response to the song I released felt a bit spicy,” he noted.
