MTN Ghana has reiterated its commitment to preserving and promoting Ghana’s rich cultural heritage by supporting the Hogbetsotso Festival, a beloved celebration of the Anlo people.
During a gathering with esteemed leaders like Togbe Sri III, the Awomefia of Anlo, and Togbe Awusu III, the Awadada of Anlo, MTN’s Area Sales Manager for Eastern, Volta, and Oti, Ransford Gyan, expressed the company’s dedication to uplifting cultural traditions nationwide.
The Hogbetsotso Festival, celebrated annually in the Volta Region, carries profound historical and cultural meaning, symbolizing resilience, unity, and peace within the Anlo community.

He emphasized MTN’s belief in the power of culture to inspire growth and community cohesion, adding that as an African-rooted company, MTN is committed to investing in traditions that strengthen communities.
As part of its support, MTN Ghana contributed generously to the festival, providing a donation, stage equipment, and a public address system for the grand durbar to ensure a memorable event.
To enhance the experience for attendees, MTN set up engagement centers at key points to interact with customers, address concerns, and offer on-site support during the celebrations.
The company also teamed up with Jubilee Radio to organize a health walk, boosting community spirit and involvement.
This year, MTN focused on educating the public about mobile money (MoMo) safety, with Gyan stressing the importance of addressing MoMo fraud and the risks of pre-registered SIM cards to protect customers’ information.
The Awomefia of Anlo, Togbe Sri III, praised MTN Ghana for its ongoing support, expressing appreciation for MTN’s generosity toward the Anlo Dukor.
Togbe Sri III encouraged other organizations to follow MTN’s example, acknowledging the positive impact of MTN’s consistent presence on the festival and the Anlo community.
