Miss Ghana UK 2025 Returns on October 18 at Dominion Centre, London

The Miss Ghana UK (MGUK) beauty pageant is back in style. On October 18, all roads will lead to the Dominion Centre in Wood Green, London, for the grand finale.

On that night, ten young women of Ghanaian descent will compete for the coveted Miss Ghana UK crown. The winner will also earn a lifetime opportunity to become an ambassador for Ghana’s rich heritage, community growth, and women’s empowerment.

For over 30 years, Miss Ghana UK has been more than a beauty contest. It has become a symbol of identity, strength, and legacy. As the longest-running Black and Ethnic Minority pageant in the United Kingdom, MGUK continues to promote Ghanaian culture and showcase its brilliance to the world.

Moreover, the night will be filled with style and culture. Guests will enjoy a stunning display of elegant gowns and traditional African wear. These pieces are sponsored by GTP Ghana, with creative designs from Quophi Akotuah and Limels London.

This year’s theme, “Cocoa: Past, Present & Future — The Role of Women,” takes the event even deeper into heritage, culture, and innovation. Cocoa is not just Ghana’s treasure but also Africa’s gift to the world. From the lush farms of Goaso and Nsawam in Ghana to the historic plantations of Eti-Oni in Nigeria, cocoa has sustained families and strengthened economies across generations.

According to MGUK Directors Mavis Osei and Cilla Baafour-Gyewu, this theme carries personal meaning. Both women come from cocoa-farming families in Ahafo and Techiman, where the land provided food, purpose, and future opportunities. Through Miss Ghana UK, they seek to preserve that heritage, celebrate the women behind it, and inspire new possibilities for generations to come.

Additionally, the organisers have expressed deep gratitude to their supporters. These include the Ghana High Commission, Her Royal Majesty Queen Angelique-Monet of Eti-Oni, the Diaspora Affairs Office of the Presidency, Ghana Cocoa Marketing Company, Ghana Cocoa Board, Ghana Tourism Authority (GTA), Heartfelt Philanthropy Network, Speciallady Global Awareness, Brightstars, and Radiant Family.

Finally, MGUK 2025 is proudly sponsored by GTP Ghana, Quophi Akotuah Ghana, JL Properties, Grassfields, Limels London, Gina’s Blooming Scent, and BRSK!N, among others.
