Ghanaian fashion designer and CEO of Magmens Couture, Marian Gifty Mensah, has been named ‘Ghana’s Most Respected CEO in Fashion and Lifestyle Services’ at the 7th edition of the Ghana’s Most Respected CEO’s Awards.
This prestigious accolade highlights her exceptional leadership in delivering top-quality fashion designs and underscores Magmens Couture’s rapid growth in Ghana’s fashion industry. The award also celebrates her significant contributions to the Ghanaian economy and her role as a respected advocate for best business practices, mentorship, and training initiatives.
The event, organized by the Business Executive Group, took place at the La Palm Royal Beach Hotel in Accra, bringing together high-profile personalities, government officials, members of the diplomatic corps, and traditional leaders. The awards aim to honor individuals and organizations making remarkable contributions to the country’s development.

About Marian Gifty Mensah
Born and raised in Obuasi in the Ashanti Region of Ghana, Marian is a seasoned “fashionpreneur” with an impressive educational and professional background. She holds a Bachelor of Education degree in Home Economics (specializing in Clothing and Textiles) from the University of Cape Coast (2013) and an HND in Fashion Design Technology from Takoradi Technical University (2005).
Her passion for sewing, which began as a hobby in her teenage years, blossomed into a thriving profession. After years of working with the Obuasi Municipal Assembly and CHRAJ, she followed her dream and founded Magmens Couture in 2015, a brand now recognized for bespoke designs and global appeal.
Her achievements include winning Joy Prime TV’s Fashion Guru Sewing Bee in 2016, becoming a finalist in the VLISCO Fashion Fund competition in 2017, and earning the Fashion Excellence Award at Bryte Africa Fashion Week in 2019.
Marian is also dedicated to training and empowering young women, having mentored over 30 aspiring designers. Through partnerships with educational institutions, Magmens Couture provides internships for students as part of its corporate social responsibility. Additionally, Marian supports vulnerable girls through her nonprofit initiative, Sikapa For Girls.
As a married entrepreneur and motivational speaker, Marian inspires many through seminars, TV appearances, and community engagements. She embodies versatility, ambition, and a commitment to making a positive impact in her community.
