Ghanaian actor and filmmaker Kwadwo Nkansah, popularly known as Lil Win, has announced a new movie titled “Me Kum Me Ho Ma’ Nipa,” directed by Kwasi Badu.
The film serves as a tribute to the late highlife legend Daddy Lumba, who recently passed away.

In an emotional Facebook post, Lil Win urged fans and the public not to let rivalries or misunderstandings diminish the love and respect they hold for the music icon. He emphasized the importance of keeping Daddy Lumba’s legacy alive through continued celebration of his music and impact.
He wrote:
“Let’s not allow any rivalry to take away the love we have for our legend, the late Mr. Charles Kwadwo Fosu (Daddy Lumba). Let’s keep projecting his legacy so he continues to live forever in our hearts. Let’s all watch this great movie as a farewell from WEZZY EMPIRE CEO, Mr. Kwadwo Nkansah Lil Win, to the legend Daddy Lumba.”
However, the announcement has stirred mixed reactions on social media, given Lil Win’s previously strained relationship with Daddy Lumba’s family. Some fans criticized the timing of the release, noting the film features Great Ampong, who was reportedly not on good terms with the late musician.
The upcoming movie “Me Kum Me Ho Ma’ Nipa” features a star-studded cast, including Bill Asamoah, Vivian Jill, and Akrobeto.
This isn’t the first time Lil Win has faced public backlash. His previous movie, “Ibrahim Traore,” premiered on August 2, 2025—the same day as Daddy Lumba’s candlelight vigil—a move that drew criticism from fans.
Addressing the issue, Lil Win clarified that his frustration was not about publicity but about missing the chance to honor his idol. “I wanted to be at Lumba’s vigil,” he explained. “I didn’t mention it for attention; I said it because I’m a huge fan and deeply admire Daddy Lumba.”
