Juliet Ibrahim has made history as the first President of Women in Film & Television Ghana (WIFT Ghana). Her appointment marks a major step forward for women in Ghana’s creative industry.
In an Instagram post, the actress and producer called it a powerful moment for all women in film, TV, and digital media. She praised women across Ghana and Africa who are breaking barriers and telling bold stories both on-screen and behind the scenes.

WIFT Ghana is now part of the global Women in Film & Television International (WIFTI) network. It also connects with WIFT Africa, linking African creatives with global opportunities while focusing on empowering local women.
Juliet pledged to promote collaboration, mentorship, and real opportunities for women in the industry. She promised to support young creatives, storytellers, and female innovators from across the country.
“As President, I’m committed to making a lasting impact,” she said. “I want to uplift youth and established creatives alike, creating more space for women to thrive.”
This new role adds to her recent achievement of earning a Marketing Communications degree from the University of Berkeley.
