Ghana is about to create history as a major event host, with the 2019 first West Africa Music & Arts Festival in Accra.
This revolutionary event, the first of its type in the area, will take place over four days, beginning on Wednesday, June 19th, 2024, at the iconic Kwame Nkrumah Memorial Park and coinciding with Ghana’s official Juneteenth celebration.
The festival is both a bustling Music Industry Conference aimed at bringing industry professionals together and educating the general public, as well as a celebration of West Africa’s rich cultural legacy and artistic diversity. It will give a platform for showcasing and educating on all aspects of the music industry. Attendees can expect an unforgettable experience, with exciting performances by famous artists, interactive workshops, master courses, and intriguing art installations.
As Ghana takes centre stage in hosting this festival, attendees can expect a broad line-up of acts spanning genres such as Afrobeat, Highlife, Hip Hop, and more. Furthermore, the festival experience includes networking with music and entertainment business executives from across the world, participating in fascinating panel discussions, and finding upcoming talent from across the continent.
