President John Dramani Mahama has appointed Henry Herbert Malm as the Acting Director of the National Theatre of Ghana.

A seasoned communications and media professional, Malm succeeds Amy Appiah Frimpong, who retired in December 2024.
Before this appointment, Malm was the Head of Corporate Communications and Sustainability at Unilever Ghana PLC, where he led stakeholder engagement and sustainability initiatives. He also previously worked as a news anchor with TV3.
His leadership is expected to bring a fresh perspective to the National Theatre, with a focus on renewed public engagement and a revitalised vision for the institution.
The National Theatre of Ghana, operating under the Ministry of Tourism, Culture and Creative Arts, serves as a key hub for the performing arts. Its mission is to position the performing arts as a foundation for preserving, promoting, and developing Ghanaian culture.
