Speaking about the inspiration behind the song, Gyakie shared:

Unconditional is about presence, vulnerability, and truth — the kind of love that doesn’t ask for anything but feeling.

Produced by Afrolektra, Unconditional features Gyakie’s signature smooth vocals layered over pulsating drums and lush melodies. She sings:

Come and give me love! You no for pay. Want make you dey my body make I feel okay. This be unconditional…

Crafted for both the dance floor and emotional connection, Unconditional captures Gyakie at her most expressive and emotionally open. The track’s glowing arrangement and heartfelt storytelling solidify her reputation as one of Africa’s most relatable voices.

Born Jackline Acheampong, Gyakie broke into the spotlight in 2020 and has since carved a niche with her genre-fluid sound and soulful lyricism. Her previous single, Sankofa, made waves globally—debuting on the Billboard U.S. Afrobeats Top 50 and ranking among the Top 5 trending YouTube videos in Ghana.

With millions of global streams under her belt, Gyakie is optimistic Unconditional will mirror—and possibly exceed—the success of Sankofa.
