Accra Set to Host Global Africa Summit Launch on July 18

The organisers of the Global Africa Summit (GAS) have announced that a pre-event launch for the Accra edition will be held on Friday, July 18, 2025, at The Palms by Eagles Hotel in Accra.

This launch will unveil the summit’s overarching vision, strategic agenda, and key partnerships in advance of the main event later in the year. The Global Africa Summit is being positioned as one of the most anticipated Pan-African events of 2025.

Created as a platform to encourage dialogue and cross-sector collaboration between Africa and its global Diaspora, GAS seeks to advance inclusive growth and African leadership on the global stage. Through summits, roundtables, and investment showcases, the initiative aims to strengthen connections across continents while promoting sustainable development.

Each host city edition will highlight the unique assets of its location while contributing to a shared framework for continental progress and Diaspora engagement.

Accra has been named as one of four key cities selected to host the 2025 series, alongside:

  • Los Angeles, California – October 9–10
  • Washington, DC – October 14–15 (Catholic University of America)
  • Toronto, Canada – October 23 (Toronto Metropolitan University)
  • Accra, Ghana – December 11–12

At the July 18 launch, organisers will announce summit content tracks, introduce hosting partners, and spotlight Ghana’s growing importance in investment, tourism, and Pan-African affairs.

Notable personalities expected at the event include Mrs. Jane Reindorf-Osei, Founder and President of the Africa Investment Network (AIN); Ms. Brianelle Cartwright and Ms. Lynreshay Johnson, Attachés at the Bahamas Embassy Consular Annex in Washington, DC; Mr. Clarence Wooten, Executive and Entrepreneur in Residence at X (formerly Google X); and Dr. Michael K. Obeng, plastic surgeon and CEO of Miko Pharma. Other guests will include Ghanaian government officials, diplomats, private sector leaders, and creatives.

“The Global Africa Summit is more than just an event—it’s a call to action for bold, transcontinental collaboration,” said Mrs. Reindorf-Osei. “We’re building a future where Africa and its global Diaspora lead in economic growth and innovation.”

Organised by the Africa Investment Network, under the auspices of the Diaspora Affairs Office of the President, and in partnership with AMCHAM Ghana and TopDog Africa Ltd., the summit invites public and private sector leaders, creatives, and development partners to participate and explore collaboration opportunities.
