Ghana Tourism Authority Opens Call for Event Proposals for ‘December in GH’ 2025.
The Ghana Tourism Authority (GTA), through its International Affairs Secretariat, has officially opened the call for event proposals for the 2025 edition of December in GH—a flagship tourism campaign that highlights Ghana’s dynamic culture, heritage, entertainment, and hospitality.
Scheduled to run from December 1, 2025, to January 3, 2026, December in GH promises an unforgettable celebration of Ghana’s cultural vibrancy. Rooted in the vision of the Black Star Experience, the initiative continues to establish Ghana as a top destination for cultural tourism and diaspora reconnection.
Each year, the festive season draws thousands of visitors from around the globe, including the Ghanaian diaspora and international tourists seeking authentic African experiences through music, fashion, art, nightlife, and cultural events across the country.
“December in GH is more than just a celebration—it’s a cultural movement,” said Maame Efua Houadjeto, CEO of the Ghana Tourism Authority. “As we build on the Black Star Experience, we look forward to receiving creative and impactful proposals that will further position Ghana as Africa’s cultural heartbeat.”
GTA is calling on event organisers, promoters, and cultural curators to submit proposals for events happening between December 1, 2025, and January 3, 2026, that can enrich the national events calendar and offer diverse experiences.
