Agape Arts Production is set to launch Kelewele Junction, Ghana’s—and Africa’s—first-ever mobile theatre experience, on July 26 and 27, 2025.
This groundbreaking production reimagines the stage as a moving Aayalolo bus, offering audiences an immersive journey through the streets of Accra and into the depths of the human experience.

Written and produced by the prolific Francis Jeremy Afizie — who has penned 25 plays in nine years — Kelewele Junction tells a suspense-filled story centered on six ex-convicts. Though they initially appear to be strangers lost in thought, the bus ride slowly peels back their facades. Secrets are revealed, tensions mount, and the characters — along with the audience — are drawn into a gripping web of confessions and buried truths.
But it’s not just the compelling narrative that sets this production apart — it’s the setting itself.
Performed entirely aboard a moving bus, the play takes audiences on a real-time theatrical journey. The route begins and ends at the National Theatre of Ghana, weaving through key Accra landmarks including 37 Military Hospital, Cantonments, Osu Oxford Street, and Black Star Square. With each stop, turn, and streetlight, the city becomes an integral part of the drama, heightening the suspense and authenticity.
This innovative concept is made possible through a partnership with Aayalolo, under the Ghana Passengers and Transport Executive, which transforms the bus into both stage and metaphor — dismantling traditional theatre conventions and putting performance in motion.
Kelewele Junction will run three times daily during its two-day premiere, giving theatre enthusiasts multiple opportunities to step aboard and experience this trailblazing production.
Under the direction of Mr. Afizie, Agape Arts Production has gained acclaim for bold, socially conscious theatre. With Kelewele Junction, they once again demonstrate their commitment to pushing creative boundaries and redefining what theatre can be.
Ticket details and showtimes will be announced soon. With limited seating available, audiences are encouraged to book early to secure their place on this theatrical milestone.
Prepare for a performance unlike any other — where every turn reveals a secret, and every mile uncovers a deeper truth.
