The Chief Executive Officer of the Ghana Tourism Authority, Maame Efua Houadjeto, has officially unveiled FESTAC Africa 2025, positioning Ghana as the proud host of one of Africa’s most prestigious celebrations of culture, innovation, and unity.

Speaking at the launch event on June 10, 2025, Houadjeto emphasized that the festival goes beyond entertainment, calling it a powerful statement that “Africa is ready” to shape its own narrative and take control of its future.

Guided by the theme “Harnessing Health, Culture, Trade, Climate Change, Gender Equity, and Tourism for Sustainable Economic Growth,” FESTAC Africa 2025 seeks to foster collaboration, inspire transformation, and boost Africa’s global presence.
“From Independence Square in Accra to the historical cities of Kumasi and Cape Coast, Ghana is fully prepared to welcome the world,” Houadjeto stated.

She added, “We extend an open invitation to all of Africa and the Diaspora to come together in unity, pride, and shared purpose.”
FESTAC Africa 2025 is set to draw worldwide attention and act as a cultural and economic bridge, connecting Africa with the global community.
