FashionEVO has partnered with Fashion Connect Africa (FCA) to host a landmark fashion experience at the upcoming Africa Creative Market (ACM) in Lagos, Nigeria.

The collaboration was officially unveiled during a press launch held at the Accra Polo Club on Wednesday, July 9, 2025. This year’s edition, themed “CREATIVE BRIDGE: Bridging Creativity, Community, and Commerce in Africa’s Fashion Future,” celebrates FCA’s five-year milestone and marks its first international showcase—symbolizing a major step in uniting the Ghanaian and Nigerian fashion industries through shared culture and commerce.
The highlight of the partnership, the FashionEVO Summit & Show, will take place on Thursday, September 18, 2025, at the Landmark Event Centre in Victoria Island, Lagos, as part of ACM 2025. The broader ACM programme runs from September 15 to 19, featuring masterclasses, panel discussions, fashion installations, networking events, an awards ceremony, and a fashion competition for schools and emerging designers.
As part of the week-long event, the FE Pop-Up Boutique will run from September 16 to 19, open daily from 9 AM to 5 PM, and will showcase curated collections from African designers.
Speaking at the press launch, Dr. Yetty Ogunnubi, Founder and CEO of FashionEVO, expressed excitement about the collaboration. “This partnership is a powerful opportunity to spotlight Ghana’s creative talent and build long-lasting creative ties between Ghana and Nigeria,” she said.
Victoria Michaels, CEO of Fashion Connect Africa, echoed similar sentiments, emphasizing that the initiative offers Ghanaian designers greater exposure and growth opportunities across Africa. “Together with FashionEVO, we aim to spark innovation, elevate voices, and foster collaboration that drives Africa’s fashion future forward,” she said.
The press event attracted dignitaries and creatives including H.E. Juliette Bynoe-Sutherland, High Commissioner of Barbados to Ghana, who delivered a keynote speech on the role of fashion in cultural exchange. Other notable guests included Kofi Okyere Darko, Director of Diaspora Affairs at the Office of the President of Ghana, Nigerian comedian Hogan Gabriel, and Miss World Morocco 2023, Sonia Aït Mansour.
FashionEVO affirmed that this is just the beginning of wider collaborations across Africa, beginning with Ghana, and aims to build a stronger creative economy through fashion.
