Esi Hammond has been honored with the Supreme African Supporting Actress of the Year award at the SDTA Awards

Ghanaian actress Esi Hammond has clinched the coveted title of Supreme African Supporting Actress of the Year at the 4th Global Supreme Dynamic Talent Academy Awards (SDTA Awards). The star-studded ceremony took place at the luxurious La Palm Royal Beach Hotel in Accra, Ghana, and was attended by industry professionals, distinguished guests, and media representatives.

Hammond’s outstanding performance in the Ghanaian drama series ENO earned her this honor in a fiercely competitive category that included talented nominees from Ghana and Nigeria. Her portrayal of Safowaa in ENO has captivated audiences and critics alike, further establishing her as a prominent figure in the film industry. Created and directed by award-winning Shirley Frimpong-Manso and produced by Ken Attoh, ENO delves into the complexities of family dynamics, following a single mother determined to influence her three daughters’ lives.

Esi Hammond’s acting journey began between 2016 and 2017 at Gh Media School. She is currently pursuing a degree in Public Administration at the Ghana Institute of Management and Public Administration (GIMPA). With an impressive portfolio spanning both Ghanaian and Nollywood films, Hammond has showcased her versatility in productions such as Roses and Daggers, Movement (Japa), Rumours, and Nana Akoto.

In addition to her acting career, Hammond is skilled in hair styling and lash artistry, frequently sharing her expertise through training sessions. Fluent in English, Twi, and Fante, she is known for her professionalism, punctuality, and passion for her craft.

Speaking about her win, Hammond expressed gratitude to the SDTA Awards for the recognition and pledged to continue honing her skills while elevating the African film industry to global prominence.
