She made these remarks at the closing ceremony of Meta’s virtual digital training workshop. The session brought together staff from the Ministry and its 13 implementing agencies, focusing on tools like Facebook, Instagram, and WhatsApp to improve public engagement and promote Ghana’s tourism assets.

According to Dzifa Gomashie, the Meta training is not just about social media but about empowering institutions through knowledge and technology. She encouraged participants to use the training as a springboard for personal and professional development.

Sharing a personal story, she revealed that online impersonation concerns led her to engage with Meta, sparking a partnership that now benefits the wider creative sector. “When you make a conscious effort to improve yourself, the door will open,” she noted. “This is bigger than just you—it’s for your colleagues and future generations.”

The Dzifa Gomashie Meta training session also featured Kojo Boakye, Meta’s Vice President for Public Policy in Africa, the Middle East, and Türkiye. He stressed how digital tools can shape Ghana’s image globally and called on staff to apply their new skills to advance institutional goals.

This workshop represents a major step toward digitizing public service operations in Ghana’s cultural and tourism sectors. It reinforces the Ministry’s vision of using innovation to reach broader audiences and drive national development.
