The Design and Technology Institute (DTI) has hosted its 2025 Projects and Art Exhibition, showcasing the innovation, creativity, and technical skills of its learners across a wide range of disciplines. The event highlighted student achievements in fields such as Product Realization, Welding and Fabrication, CAD/CAM, Graphic Design, Web Development, Robotics, and Fine Arts.

Themed “Unleashing Potential and Talent,” this year’s exhibition brought together a diverse array of student-led projects, reflecting DTI’s commitment to hands-on, interdisciplinary education that nurtures both technical proficiency and creative thinking.
Ms. Constance Swaniker, Founder and President of DTI, described the exhibition as more than a display of academic excellence—it was a celebration of innovation, resilience, and purposeful design. She emphasized that the institute’s mission is to equip young people with the mindset, skills, and tools necessary to create dignified livelihoods and shape the future of Africa.

“At DTI, we focus on 360-degree holistic education—developing the head, heart, and hands,” Ms. Swaniker noted. “Through our programmes in Precision Welding, Design Innovation, and Entrepreneurship, we are producing not just makers, but also thinkers and doers.”
She highlighted that alongside technical disciplines like welding, fabrication, and design, learners are equally trained in soft skills including communication, leadership, teamwork, emotional intelligence, and problem-solving—qualities that fuel innovation and social impact.

“Every prototype, artwork, and design exhibited here tells a story—one of discipline, bold imagination, and a commitment to excellence,” she said. “These learners are solving real-world problems, telling compelling stories, and demonstrating the power of action-driven creativity.”
Ms. Swaniker extended her gratitude to DTI’s faculty, mentors, industry collaborators, and partners, including the Programme Advisory Council, for their ongoing support. She applauded their shared commitment to shaping principled, purpose-driven professionals ready to make a lasting impact.
DTI reaffirmed its dedication to developing the next generation of African innovators, leaders, and creators—not just for employment, but for lifelong influence and transformation.
