To address the growing threat of cybercrime in Ghana, the Ghana Fintech and Payments Association, in collaboration with Cyber Bells Foundation, FinTech Management Solutions, and Village Minds Production, presents Cyber Heist—a powerful theatrical experience that entertains while educating.

The play hits the stage on Friday, 2nd May 2025, at 6:00 PM at the National Theatre, Accra. Cyber Heist combines comedy, drama, and real-life events to explore digital fraud, online scams, and cybersecurity challenges. As cyberattacks rise, this production arrives at a critical time.
Cybercrime in Ghana is increasing at an alarming rate. In 2023, Ghanaians lost over GHS 59.9 million, with 35% of cases linked to online fraud. By April 2024, the country had already recorded losses of GHS 10.7 million. Moreover, investment scams jumped from GHS 421,621 in 2023 to over GHS 1.9 million in 2024.
Criminals now use advanced methods. These include fake investment websites, phishing emails, and deceptive social media posts to trick unsuspecting victims.
Through Cyber Heist, audiences will:

Cyber Heist features the work of acclaimed creatives. Nii Ayi Solomon wrote the play, based on a story by Kwame Awuagah, CEO of the FinTech Awards. WK Dziewornu-Norvor directs the production, with stage management by Janet Naa Ashaley Armah. Together, they use theatre to drive social change.
