Campaign Craft captivates Kenyans with the vibrant ‘Ghana Food Carnival’

As part of Ghana’s 68th Independence Day celebrations, Campaign Craft Kenya Limited, in collaboration with the Ghana High Commission in Kenya, successfully hosted the inaugural ‘Ghana Food Carnival 2025’ on March 8, 2025. The event took place at the Ghana High Commission’s premises in Nairobi, located at 214 Muthaiga Road.

The carnival attracted over 700 participants, including Ghanaians, Kenyans, members of the diplomatic corps, and officials from embassies across Africa, Europe, and America. The event provided a vibrant platform for guests to experience Ghanaian culture, hospitality, and cuisine while fostering stronger ties between Ghana and Kenya. It also served as an opportunity for networking and cultural exchange among attendees from various backgrounds.

A major highlight of the celebration was the wide array of authentic Ghanaian dishes and beverages. Guests indulged in popular delicacies such as Jollof rice, Waakye, Fufu, Banku with Tilapia, and Kelewele, accompanied by traditional Ghanaian drinks like Sobolo, Asana, and Alomo. The culinary experience allowed both Ghanaians and non-Ghanaians to savor the rich flavors of Ghana.

The event catered to all age groups, ensuring a fun-filled experience for everyone. Children enjoyed bouncy castles, trampolines, and face painting, while young adults engaged in board games and interactive activities.

With free entry, guests could purchase food and drinks at affordable prices, making the event widely accessible. The carnival was made possible through the generous support of sponsors, including Ecobank Kenya, UPESI Money Transfer, East Africa Breweries Limited (EABL), Coca-Cola Kenya, PZ Cussons East Africa, ASKY Airlines, Asanka Food Restaurant, Mama Ashanti Restaurant, The Golden Stool Restaurant, Ghana Trade House, and more.

In appreciation of attendees, ASKY Airlines awarded a free round-trip air ticket to one lucky winner, Noel Weru, allowing travel to any of ASKY’s 28 destinations from Nairobi. Similarly, Kenya Airways gifted a patron an economy-class ticket to Ghana. Additionally, PZ Cussons provided free product packages, while Mama Ashanti and Ghana Trade House offered discounted vouchers and gift items.

Speaking at the event, Ghana’s High Commissioner to Kenya, Damptey Asare-Bediako, expressed his deep gratitude to the organizers and the Ghanaian-Kenyan community for making the first-ever Ghana Food Carnival a success. He emphasized the importance of Ghanaians in Kenya serving as ambassadors, strengthening the bilateral relations between Ghana and Kenya.

The Ghana Food Carnival 2025 was not only a celebration of culture and cuisine but also a testament to the strong diplomatic and social ties between the two nations. With its remarkable success, the event is expected to become a staple in Ghana-Kenya cultural engagements in the years to come.
