BigShot Band GH urges Ghanaian musicians to prioritize discipline in their careers.

Ghanaian live music ensemble BigShot Band GH is calling on fellow musicians—especially up-and-coming acts—to place greater emphasis on discipline as a foundation for building lasting careers in the industry.

Appearing on the EVIBES Musical Band Series with Becky on JoyNews, the band stressed that while talent and exposure are valuable, discipline is what sustains success and ensures consistent growth.

“Discipline is everything,” one band member stated. “No matter how talented you are, without discipline, you won’t achieve much. Even though we have other commitments, we make time to rehearse regularly because we understand the value of structure and consistency.”

The group also voiced concern about artists who squander performance opportunities due to a lack of preparation and professionalism. They warned that such behavior not only damages the individual’s image but also blocks opportunities for others in the community.

“When someone gives you a platform because they believe in your talent, and you show up unprepared, it’s more than just a missed chance. You’ve taken that opportunity away from someone else who might have made the most of it. That’s why discipline matters.”

BigShot Band GH believes that discipline, paired with consistency, builds artist credibility and garners respect from promoters, collaborators, and audiences both in Ghana and beyond.
