First-time film producer Bella Agyemang has earned widespread praise from Silverbird Cinemas and other key industry players for her impressive box office achievement over the weekend.
Her debut film, Check-In, has been commended as the first Ghanaian movie to record significant sales at the cinemas in 2025.

Speaking in an interview, Nana Kwame Obiri-Tete, Sales and Marketing Lead at Silverbird Cinemas Ghana, applauded Bella for delivering an outstanding premiere, especially as a newcomer to the industry.
“For a debutant, Bella Agyemang did fantastically well. Her efforts in drawing a crowd were commendable—she ran several marketing campaigns and PR activities that really made a difference,” he said.
Obiri-Tete emphasized that Bella’s on-the-ground activations and promotional engagements played a key role in the movie’s success, stating, “You may have a great film, but without solid marketing, it won’t sell. Bella did the work, and that’s why people showed up in numbers.”
Bella, in turn, expressed gratitude to her cast, team, media professionals, and everyone who supported the project ahead of its premiere.
The highly anticipated star-studded comedy, Check-In, premiered on April 12, 2025, at Silverbird Cinemas. The movie follows a chaotic night at a remote hotel during a power outage, where a quick-thinking attendant must uncover the secrets connecting the guests and restore order before tensions explode.
