The “Face of Ghana Theatre,” Andrew Tandoh-Adote, is preparing for a monumental challenge. He will step into the shoes of Ghana’s first president in the epic musical play, Black Star – The Teacher of Africa.

This historic production returns to the stage this March to coincide with Ghana’s 69th Independence celebrations. Performed at the Black Star Square, the play dramatises the life and vision of Dr Kwame Nkrumah. It is a massive undertaking, featuring a company of nearly 100 cast and crew members, including Nollywood legend Segun Arinze.
Tandoh-Adote, known for his incredible mimicry and range, describes this as a career-defining role. The play aims to revive the spirit of Pan-Africanism through a blend of drama, music, and dance. For fans of high-stakes theatre, this is a rare chance to see a legend portray a titan of history.
