Theme: Her Voice Is Not a Crime

SheShe Slam 2026 marks the 5th edition of Ghana’s premier women-centered spoken word platform, intentionally hosted each year to commemorate International Women’s Day.

For five consecutive years, SheShe Slam has created a national stage dedicated to amplifying women’s voices through poetry, performance, and civic dialogue. The 2026 edition focuses specifically on confronting gender-based violence and the culture of silence that enables it.

Under the theme “Her Voice Is Not a Crime,” this year’s event centers the lived realities of women affected by domestic abuse, harassment, systemic exclusion, and social intimidation. Through curated performances and structured engagement, the platform transforms storytelling into advocacy and awareness.

Aligned with the mission of International Women’s Day, SheShe Slam advances gender equality by:
