Abibitumi has unveiled the Abibitumi Series of Events under its Decade of Our Repatriation (D.O.O.R.) initiative — a movement designed to strengthen unity among the global Black diaspora and reconnect them with the African continent through culture, creativity, and storytelling.
The initiative seeks to inspire a renewed sense of identity and belonging while celebrating shared heritage across borders.

The 2025 edition will feature three major experiences:
- Abibitumi Abibifahodie Film Festival (November 28–30, 2025)
- Abibitumi Virtual Conference (December 5–7, 2025)
- Abibitumi Conference & Abibifahodie Festival (December 12–14, 2025)
Each experience will serve as a powerful expression of Black culture and innovation, combining film, music, art, technology, and dialogue to celebrate collective empowerment and the essence of homecoming.
“This goes beyond a series of events — it’s a repatriation movement and a spiritual homecoming,” organisers stated. “When we remember our roots, Black people everywhere reconnect.”
The D.O.O.R. project invites individuals, institutions, partners, and media organisations to participate and support the movement, with early registration open at www.decadeofourrepatriation.com
Project Director Siita Abubakari also encouraged brands, sponsors, and collaborators to join through partnerships and activations that promote global unity and cultural pride.
