A campaign aimed at promoting safety for passengers and drivers has been launched

Bolt Ghana has launched a six-week campaign aimed at promoting driver and passenger safety. The initiative includes workshops to educate users on the platform’s live safety features and their application before, during, and after a Bolt trip.

These features include drivers using their phone cameras for verification, sharing real-time trip updates with family and friends, recording audio during unsafe situations, and using Bolt’s trip insurance for claims related to accidents, theft, or lost items.

At the launch event, Senior Operations Manager Henry Whyte emphasized that the campaign seeks to raise awareness about safety tools and preventative measures to avoid incidents. He highlighted Bolt’s dedication to enhancing safety for users through educational efforts and the work of its global safety team, which includes over 500 specialists focusing on product development and preventative measures.

Abraham Sika Antobreh, Assistant Manager for Research, Business Development, and Innovation at the DVLA, praised Bolt’s proactive steps toward improving e-safety, urging all stakeholders to prioritize safety in the transportation industry.

Henry Asomani, Head of the Public Investment and Business Development Unit at the National Road Safety and Transport Authority, added that this initiative will enhance safety and profitability for drivers and passengers alike.
