Tidal Rave Festival, celebrated as West Africa’s biggest beach festival, has unveiled a major continental expansion—transforming into a full African Travelling Festival designed to connect and empower young people across Africa.
Beginning in 2026, the festival will extend its footprint to Lagos, Nigeria and Durban, South Africa, joining Accra, Ghana and Monrovia, Liberia to create four annual editions. This bold move brings Tidal Rave closer to its mission of becoming Africa’s leading youth cultural platform, encouraging cross-border travel, collaboration, and cultural exchange.

EchoHouse CEO Beryl Agyekum Ayaaba explained that the expansion reflects a long-term vision.
“The goal is for Africans to travel, explore different cities, and create culture together, with Tidal Rave as the bridge,” she said.
“We’re building something bigger than a festival. The mission has always been to take the Tidal Rave experience across the African coast and give every Raver the freedom to be their authentic selves through good music, good energy, and unforgettable experiences.”
She added: “It began in Ghana, where the Tidal Rave culture was born. We carried that fire to Liberia and watched a new community rise. Now the journey continues to Durban and Lagos.”
Tidal Rave’s expansion marks a defining moment for the youth-driven platform. After establishing a strong community in Liberia—where thousands of Ravers gather each year—the festival is now preparing to activate new cultural networks in Southern and West Africa.
For the Durban edition, EchoHouse has formed a cultural partnership with The Black Star Experience and the South African National Arts Council (NAC). This collaboration ensures the festival showcases authentic KwaZulu-Natal culture while blending Tidal Rave’s signature mix of music, beach vibes, fashion, and creativity.

The 2025 edition in Accra, branded “The Wild Card Edition,” redefined expectations. Hosted on November 14–15 at La Palm Royal Beach Hotel, it evolved into a powerful two-day youth cultural movement that reinforced Tidal Rave’s place as Africa’s premier youth festival.
Next on the calendar is Monrovia, Liberia, slated for December 13, 2025, at John Gbeze Beach. After debuting in 2019, the Liberian edition has grown significantly, drawing thousands of young people and solidifying its importance within Liberia’s cultural scene.
Tidal Rave is known for spotlighting top African talents, including Ayra Starr, Shatta Wale, Sarkodie, Stonebwoy, King Promise, MC Caro, Stunn, and more. The festival isn’t just a music event—it’s a powerful youth culture ecosystem built on Music, Dance, Fashion, Entrepreneurship, and Content Creation.
With its new continental scale, Tidal Rave Festival is evolving into a Pan-African cultural anchor that encourages young Africans to travel, connect, express themselves, and co-create culture across borders. This expansion firmly positions Tidal Rave as more than a festival—it becomes a unifying platform shaping the future of African youth culture.
