Ghana Edges Closer to Launching a National Airline

Ghana has taken another major step toward launching its national airline following the submission of a comprehensive business model and operational framework by the task force established by the Ministry of Transport to guide the project.

Speaking in Parliament, Minister for Transport Joseph Bukari Nikpe revealed that the task force had made substantial progress, adding that the government would soon begin discussions with potential private partners. He noted that specific timelines would be announced only after consultations with all interested private-sector stakeholders are completed.

Earlier this year, in April, the Ministry of Transport entered into a partnership with the World Aviation Group to support the airline’s establishment process. The following month, in May, a dedicated task force was formed to supervise and coordinate the development of the new national carrier.
