The Ghana Tourism Authority (GTA), under the Ministry of Tourism, Arts and Culture, will host the 2025 National Tourism Awards on Friday, November 14, 2025. The event will take place at The Grand Arena of the Accra International Conference Centre and will start at 5:00 p.m.
This year’s ceremony will celebrate excellence, innovation, and leadership in Ghana’s tourism, hospitality, and creative sectors. It will bring together key industry players to recognize individuals and institutions that have shaped Ghana’s tourism story.
The 2025 edition is themed “Celebrating Ghanaian Ingenuity and Excellence in Tourism: The Black Star Experience.” The theme highlights creativity and the spirit of innovation that define Ghana’s tourism landscape.
Instituted in 1997, the National Tourism Awards remain Ghana’s top platform for recognizing commitment and distinction in the tourism ecosystem. Over the years, it has honored pioneers whose passion, service, and resilience continue to position Ghana as the heartbeat of African tourism.
The Chief of Staff, Julius Debrah, will serve as the Special Guest of Honour. Other high-profile attendees will include the Minister of Tourism, Arts and Culture, along with dignitaries from government, the diplomatic community, and the creative industry.
GTA Chief Executive Officer Maame Efua Houadjeto explained that this year’s theme reflects Ghana’s growing confidence as a destination driven by creativity and originality.
“The Black Star Experience captures the essence of our nation,” she said. “It celebrates the Ghanaian spirit that transforms ideas into impact and passion into progress. Our industry thrives when we embrace ingenuity and strive for excellence.”
