Ghana International Expo and Investment Forum Set to Showcase Ghanaian Tourism in Nigeria

The Ghana Tourism Authority, in partnership with key trade and industry stakeholders, will host the Ghana International Expo and Investment Forum, a major event aimed at showcasing Ghana’s business potential, boosting trade and tourism, and attracting cross-border investment.

Scheduled for Wednesday, September 24 to Saturday, September 27, at Adeyemi Bero in Alausa Ikeja, Lagos, Nigeria, the Expo will gather Ghanaian entrepreneurs, investors, policymakers, and international business leaders under one roof.

Themed “Unlocking Investment Potential Through Intra-African Trade and Tourism,” the forum provides a platform for Ghanaian businesses across sectors such as agriculture, manufacturing, technology, creative arts, fashion, finance, and services to engage directly with Nigerian and global counterparts.

The Expo will spotlight Ghana’s strengths, promote investment opportunities, and strengthen bilateral and multilateral trade partnerships.

Speaking ahead of the event, CEO Mrs. Maame Efua Houadjeto explained:

“This Expo is more than just a marketplace. It is a gateway for Ghanaian businesses to position themselves as global players, deepen our economic ties with Nigeria, and expand into new markets across Africa and beyond.”

She added that the Ghana Tourism Authority sees the platform as vital for advancing regional integration and building partnerships aligned with the African Continental Free Trade Area (AfCFTA).
“As the agency tasked with promoting tourism, we are committed to initiatives that present Ghana as a leading destination for tourism, business, and culture,” she noted.

Key features of the Expo include:

  • Business Exhibitions showcasing Ghanaian products and services.
  • Investment Forums & Panel Discussions on trade policies, financing, and cross-border opportunities.
  • Networking Sessions connecting Ghanaian and Nigerian businesses, investors, and policymakers.
  • Tourism & Cultural Showcase featuring Ghanaian fashion, music, and arts.

The Expo is expected to attract a diverse mix of participants, including government officials, private sector executives, investors, trade associations, and members of the diaspora.

Ultimately, the Ghana International Expo and Investment Forum aligns with Ghana’s broader economic vision—expanding exports, diversifying the economy, and leveraging AfCFTA to position the country as a hub for innovation, investment, and tourism in Africa.
