The Street of Gold Foundation, in collaboration with MICE Africa, has launched the 10th edition of the Heroes Awards alongside Miss MICE Global 2025. The official announcement took place at a press conference held at the Accra City Hotel.

This year’s edition is themed “Honouring Heroes, Empowering Innovation” and seeks to spotlight excellence, drive innovation, and position Africa as a key player in the global MICE industry (Meetings, Incentives, Conferences, and Exhibitions). Both flagship events — Miss MICE Global 2025 and the Heroes Awards — will be held on Saturday, September 27, 2025, at the Accra International Conference Centre.
Established in 2016, the Heroes Awards has become one of the most respected global competitions in the MICE and events industry, celebrating creativity, innovation, and leadership. Last year’s edition at the Alisa Hotel in Tema attracted significant participation and international engagement, and the 2025 event is projected to reach more than 11,000 event professionals worldwide.
At the launch, His Royal Panford, Founder and CEO of the Street of Gold Foundation, explained that the Heroes Awards recognises outstanding individuals and organisations making an impact in fields such as community service, education, health, leadership, and the MICE sector. He emphasized that achievers deserve recognition while alive, urging Africans to celebrate change-makers today rather than waiting until it is too late.
The 2025 edition introduces new categories for destinations, venues, event technologies, and suppliers, ensuring holistic recognition across the events industry. Mercy Thompson, Co-founder of the Heroes Awards, noted that the credibility of the awards process continues to attract top global brands, agencies, and suppliers.
Award categories include Outstanding Leader, Community Builder, Innovator, and Outstanding Team Player.
Running alongside the awards, Miss MICE Global 2025 will highlight the role of young women in driving leadership, creativity, and innovation within the MICE industry. The pageant will serve as a platform for youth to showcase their skills, talents, and solutions that can transform Africa and contribute to global progress.
The Street of Gold Foundation, guided by its motto “Global – Act Local, Touch the Difference, Experience Ghana!”, reaffirmed its commitment to advancing social impact, fostering innovation, and empowering communities through recognition and celebration.
