Jeffrey Nortey left the red carpet at the Labadi Beach Hotel on Friday night with a new accolade to his name.
The actor, comedian, and content creator was crowned Best Entertainment Act at the 9th edition of the Forty Under 40 Awards, an annual ceremony that celebrates Ghana’s most influential young leaders under 40.

Organised by Xodus Communications Limited, the event recognised excellence across multiple fields, including business, education, philanthropy, and the creative arts. At the ceremony, held on September 5, 2025, Mary Anane Awuku of Brain Hills International School was announced as the overall winner.
Nortey took to social media to acknowledge the honour, thanking his fans and describing the award as a validation of the people’s support rather than a mere industry endorsement.
The win crowns a fast-rising career for Nortey, who has built a reputation as a versatile creative—combining stage and screen acting with spoken word, comedy, and viral online content. His critically acclaimed one-man production, 3 Faces of Jeffrey Nortey, staged earlier this year at the National Theatre, drew a full house and earned praise for its storytelling and box office success.
The entertainment category appeared to reward performers who embody both versatility and audience impact. Nortey’s body of work ranges from dramatic acting roles to comedic skits addressing social issues, as well as digital content that consistently trends online.
Peers and fans flooded social media with congratulatory messages after the announcement, underscoring the widespread excitement around his achievement.
By recognising him alongside leaders from other sectors, the Forty Under 40 Awards highlight the growing influence of the creative industries in Ghana’s leadership and innovation space.
For Nortey, the award elevates his profile, potentially unlocking new opportunities for collaborations in theatre, film, and digital media both locally and internationally. Beyond entertainment, it also strengthens his platform to amplify the social themes that have become an integral part of his craft.
