Highlife musician Kaakyire Kwame Fosu, popularly known as KK Fosu, has released an emotional tribute song in honour of the late Charles Kwadwo Fosu, widely celebrated as Daddy Lumba.
The nation continues to mourn the legendary singer, who passed away recently, with a National Candlelight Vigil held last Saturday to commemorate his remarkable contribution to Ghanaian music.
In the newly released track titled Lumba, KK Fosu offers his heartfelt condolences to Daddy Lumba’s family and encourages them to remain strong during this difficult period.
During an interview following the release, KK Fosu described Daddy Lumba as a musical legend he deeply admired—someone who paved the way for the younger generation of artists.
“This song is my way of celebrating Daddy Lumba’s incredible legacy and the impact he made over more than four decades. He has been a guiding light and a major influence on my journey as a Highlife artiste,” KK Fosu stated.
The tribute single, accompanied by a visualiser shot by Zizi, is now available on major streaming platforms.
